Keep the Heart of the Hotel Beating Overnight: Night Auditor at The Compton

When the day winds down at The Compton, our Night Auditor steps in to keep things running smoothly. This role balances the quiet care of overnight guest service with the precision of nightly accounting. You’ll welcome late arrivals, support early departures, and ensure our financial records are accurate so the hotel is ready to shine each morning.

What You’ll Do

  • Greet and assist guests during the overnight hours, ensuring a warm welcome and smooth check-in/check-out.

  • Confirm reservations, assign rooms, issue keys, and establish credit.

  • Provide concierge-style support, from directions and recommendations to handling messages, packages, and special requests.

  • Collect and process payments, making sure all charges are accurate.

  • Balance the day’s transactions, batch credit cards, and resolve variances.

  • Generate nightly reports, organize receipts, and distribute information to management.

  • Ensure operating systems (such as OPERA and Micros) balance each night.

  • Monitor safety and security, following all procedures and assisting as needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Strong math and organizational skills.

  • Customer service experience with patience, tact, and problem-solving ability.

  • Flexibility to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.

  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods and lift up to 20 lbs.

  • Prior OPERA or accounting experience is a plus.
