Job Role: 

The Senior Catering Manager is responsible for soliciting, booking, and managing catering events to maximize hotel revenue and guest satisfaction. This role focuses on group and social catering business, including corporate meetings, weddings, and special events, while ensuring seamless execution in partnership with hotel operations teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Revenue 

Actively prospect and secure new catering business through outbound sales efforts, networking, and client relationships

  • Manage and grow an existing portfolio of accounts
  • Achieve and exceed catering revenue and booking goals
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and concessions

 Event Planning & Execution

  • Oversee all aspects of event planning from inquiry to execution
  • Prepare Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and detailed event documentation
  • Coordinate with:
    • Banquets
    • Culinary
    • AV and vendors
  • Ensure flawless on-site execution and client satisfaction

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients
  • Build long-term relationships to drive repeat and referral business
  • Handle client concerns and ensure service recovery when needed
  • Utilize Hilton systems (e.g., OnQ / Delphi / SalesForce-type systems)
  • Maintain accurate forecasts, pipelines, and reporting
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity

Requirements 

  • 3–5+ years of catering sales or hotel event management experience
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience with large-scale events (corporate, weddings, social)

Preferred

  • Experience in a full-service hotel, resort, or convention property
  • Familiarity with Hilton systems (PEP, Delphi, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field
