Drifthaven at Gearhart is not a hotel in the traditional sense. With just twelve timeless suites tucked into Oregon’s most charming coastal town, it feels more like an elegant seaside home—one where every guest is welcomed as a friend, and every stay unfolds with warmth and ease.
We are seeking a Hotel Manager who is ready to settle in, not just move through. This is a role for someone who has honed their craft in hospitality and now longs for a place to anchor—a boutique haven where your leadership leaves a lasting imprint, and where the rhythm of work flows with the tides.
In this role, you will:
  • Personally steward daily operations, ensuring every detail feels effortless and every guest feels at home.
  • Build a small, close-knit team that reflects the enduring charm of Gearhart—warm, steady, and deeply hospitable.
  • Manage with both heart and acumen—guiding financial performance while never losing sight of the guest experience.
  • Serve as both host and leader, creating a culture of pride, presence, and belonging.
  • Partner with ownership to ensure thoughtful growth, long-term stability, and a lasting legacy.

Other functions: (This list of other functions is not exhaustive and may be supplemented and changed as necessary.)

  • Attends industry meetings and participates in industry organizations.
  • Participates in and maintains active community relations.
  • Participates in corporate activities and meetings, as requested.
  • Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements to enhance the guest experience.
  • Input and retrieve information from computer system for file maintenance, correspondence and preparation of forecasts.

Education and/or Experience: 

  • Minimum 5 years of hotel management experience
  • Experience with financial management, budgeting, and revenue strategies
  • Knowledge of hotel systems, operations, and industry trends
  • Hotel general management experience preferred.
  • Proven track record of successes in achieving revenue and service objectives.
  • Proven ability to recruit, motivate and train a team of professionals.
